Here you will find trip reports and photographs.  My trips, sometimes taken alone, sometimes with others, are typically oriented toward natural history and often have birds as their primary focus.  I take a holistic approach to travel, however, and notes and pictures will also include a range of topics and subjects from geography to people to plants and even modes of transportation.  My goal, always, is to capture the ambience of a place, the character of a trip, the emotions generated by the sights and sounds and smells - in short, a memory.
